How to get Voter id Card? Complete process 2025

✅ Who can get it made?

  • An Indian citizen whose age is 18 years or more.
  • Whose name is not already registered in the voter list.

2️⃣✅ Fill Form 6 (for new voter registration)

➤ Click on “Apply online for registration of new voter”
➤ Form 6 will open — fill in the following information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth and gender
  • Current address (state, district, assembly constituency)
  • Voter ID of any family member (if any)

3️⃣✅ Upload required documents:

✅ Voter ID Correction Process (Through Online Form 8)

1️⃣ Visit National Voter Service Portal (NVSP)
🔗 https://www.nvsp.in/

2️⃣ Select “Correction in Voter ID” option
➤ Click on “Form 8 – Correction in Voter ID” or
➤ “Apply for Correction in Voter ID Card” on Homepage

3️⃣ Enter your details
➤ EPIC Number (Voter ID Number)
➤ State and Assembly Constituency
➤ Aadhaar Number (If Available)
➤ Mobile Number (For OTP)

4️⃣ Select the option to make correction
➤ You can correct any one or more of these details:

  • Name
  • Photo
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Address
  • Father/Husband Name
  • Aadhaar Linking

5️⃣ Fill in the corrected information and upload the required documents:

  • Such as:
  • New photo
  • Address proof (electricity bill, bank statement etc.)
